First Flight N149RV, Ron Vance, April 13, 2002

I made the first flight today.

I had a few problems, the static ports are causing the air speed to read very low, the ailerons are too stiff, and the engine runs rough at about 2000 rpm. I found that an injector was not tight this could cause the engine to run rough (sucking air).

The landing was not one of my best I aborted the landing twice cause I came in so fast as I didn't have a clue as what my real airspeed was I bounced back in the air 3 times before I settled down on the runway (just got current with 3 landings). The left aileron is free moving the stiffness has to be in the right aileron will investigate and correct. I'm cleaning the plugs and the injectors, and will put a fence in front of the static ports before the next flight.

Thanks for the encouragement will keep posted.
